City of Chino Hills Hosts Free Bulky Item Drop-Off Event (Saturday 9/26 @ 8am-12pm)

Hello Alterra Residents,

The City of Chino Hills, in partnership with Waste Management (WM), will host a free bulky item drop-off event on Saturday, September 26th from 8am to 12pm at The Shoppes overflow parking lot on Shoppes Drive near Boys Republic Drive. All vehicles must enter via City Center Drive off Boys Republic Drive near the Library.

A few details to keep in mind:

  1. Proof of Chino Hills residency (photo ID) is required.
  2. Vehicles are limited to cars, pickup trucks, station wagons, vans, and SUVs. Company vehicles will not be accepted.
  3. Residents with trailers or enclosed storage trucks can pick up a voucher at the event for free disposal at the Pomona transfer station.

Items accepted: air conditioners, appliances, barbecues and patio furniture, box springs and mattresses, chairs, couches, and tables, electronic waste (e-waste), and unbagged green waste.

Items NOT accepted: auto parts (used oil, filters, tires), building materials, and household hazardous waste (paint, cleaning supplies, batteries, and household chemicals).

Separate from this event, residents also receive three free bulky item pick-ups per calendar year through WM.
