Dear Alterra Residents,

The Association is coordinating a community-wide garage sale on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A group permit is being secured with the City of Chino Hills, and participating homes will be included on the list submitted to the city.

Important Reminders & Rules:

• Each household is only allowed three (3) permitted sales per year, and this event will count as one of them.
• If you do not wish to be included in the permitted list, you must notify Management no later than Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
• Only personal used property may be sold. No new or resold items are permitted.
• Sale items must not block public rights-of-way and must be accessible to emergency services.

Signage Restrictions – Please Read Carefully:

The City strictly prohibits signs on city-owned property, including medians, sidewalks, traffic poles, and public parkways.

Violations result in a $45 fine per sign – and the Association will be fined if violations occur.

If it is determined that your household placed signs in prohibited areas, the Board may call you to a hearing and assess the fine to your homeowner account.

Signs may only be:

• One double-sided sign per household
• No larger than six square feet
• Only on your property
• Placed no earlier than 24 hours before the sale
• Removed immediately after the sale ends
